Jimmy joined the Composite and Coatings Group in 2013 for his Masters project and continued as a PhD student.
Jimmy has a BA and MSci in Natural Sciences (Materials Science) from the University of Cambridge. His PhD project is on the extraction of materials properties from indentation data. The project is focused on extraction of creep parameters from indentation data, investigating the reliability of current methods and developing FEM models to extract the creep exponent and activation energy.
