Joe has an MSci in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Joe joined the Gordon Laboratory in 2012. His PhD focuses on the extension of nanoindentation techniques to coated metallic systems. With the aim of extracting yielding properties through a combination of iterative finite element simulation and experimental indentation data.
Joe is also responsible for supervising a number of students on the IA Materials Science course.
